
The Yonkers Land Conservancy:
- establishes conservation easements to preserve open space;
- works on habitat restoration, reclamation and rehabilitation projects;
- has an urban and community forestry program; and,
- provides information on urban environmental issues.
The Land Conservancy is led by a board of 9 volunteer members (see list below ) who meet on the second Tuesday of each month. If you would like to attend a meeting or consider joining the board, please contact Theresa Boin for more information and location.
YLC works with the City on planting and maintenance of City trees throughout the neighborhood. If you have a question or need a tree on city property near your home, please contact any board member.
YLC has a program to plant free trees in front yards on private property. Contact Theresa Boin for more information.
